Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator in Phoenix, Arizona! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will be responsible for moving, stocking, and retrieving materials, ensuring accurate inventory counts, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that goods flow smoothly through our distribution center. You will be working closely with the warehouse team to fulfill orders and manage inventory. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a leading logistics company.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, load, unload, and stack merchandise.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any issues immediately.
- Pick and transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately documenting the movement of goods.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and dock doors are clear.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions to stay updated on best practices for material handling and forklift operation.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
