About
We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our busy logistics facility in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods using pallet jacks and other equipment, and ensuring proper storage of inventory. Accuracy in handling materials and maintaining inventory records is crucial. You will play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. This position requires physical strength and endurance, as it involves frequent lifting, carrying, and maneuvering of heavy items, often exceeding 50 lbs. A strong emphasis is placed on safety; all employees must use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strictly adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent workplace injuries. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other material handling equipment.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Store materials in a safe and organized manner.
- Verify counts and inspect materials for damage.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
