Are you a proven leader with experience in warehouse management? We are seeking a dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to oversee operations at our Houston, Texas facility. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This role is pivotal to our logistics success, requiring strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. You will drive operational excellence and contribute to the overall efficiency of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure efficient workflow and productivity, meeting or exceeding operational targets.
- Implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Manage inventory accuracy through effective control measures and regular audits.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations and timely order fulfillment.
- Manage staff schedules, assignments, and workload distribution.
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety standards, including the correct use of PPE.
- Monitor and control operational costs, seeking opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Ensure all Lifting and material handling is performed safely and efficiently by the team.
- Address any operational issues or employee concerns promptly and effectively.
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and best practices, including PPE requirements.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in managing inventory control processes.
- Experience with material handling and safe Lifting techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field is a plus.
