We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for accurately documenting the arrival of incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and inspecting goods for damage. This role is crucial to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring a smooth flow of goods into our warehouse. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, so the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure is essential. Strong communication skills are also a must, as you will be interacting with delivery drivers, warehouse staff, and management.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document all discrepancies and report them to the appropriate supervisor.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage incoming goods for put-away.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
