In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Efficient material handling is critical to our logistics operations, and your expertise will ensure the smooth flow of goods throughout the warehouse. You will be required to load and unload trailers, replenish inventory, and assist with order fulfillment. Safety is our top priority, and all forklift operators must strictly follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). A thorough understanding of forklift operation, including load capacities and safe maneuvering techniques, is essential. This position involves regular lifting of materials, and you should be comfortable with lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and trucks with incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Replenish stock for picking operations.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and committed to safety.
