Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach) to move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and other vehicles accurately and safely.
- Transport products to and from various warehouse locations, including staging areas and storage racks.
- Perform routine pre-operation checks on forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory status.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory control procedures, such as cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Identify and report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating different types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and best practices.
- Ability to perform occasional heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
