We are looking for skilled and experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy warehouse in St. Louis, Missouri. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility, contributing directly to the smooth flow of our logistics operations. You will operate various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack goods. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, precision, and maintaining operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and productively.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse.
- Stack and stage materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and safety.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as organizing, cleaning, and inventory counts.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong spatial awareness and motor skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions.
