Position Overview
We are seeking a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to serve patients primarily in Las Vegas NM, providing care in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) and patients’ homes. This role requires compassionate hands-on care, excellent communication, and a heart for hospice. The employee may visit our Santa Fe home office at least twice per month for meetings, training, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care and emotional support to hospice patients in SNFs and private residences
Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, toileting, transfers, feeding)
Observe and report changes in patient condition to the clinical team
Support families with education and comfort measures
Maintain accurate documentation per hospice and regulatory guidelines
Work collaboratively with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and the interdisciplinary team
Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and comfort at all times
Travel throughout the Las Vegas service area as needed
Qualifications
Current New Mexico CNA license (required)
Hospice or home health experience preferred
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
Ability to travel daily within Las Vegas area
Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must pass background check and drug screening
