As our Catering & Convention Services Manager, you'll play a starring role in driving catering and food and beverage sales, all while ensuring our hotel shines. You'll build relationships with amazing clients and groups, making every event not just a success, but a standout memory. With the support of our Director of Sales or Director of Catering & Convention Services, you'll work your magic to hit revenue goals, wow meeting planners, and keep our guestsand your careermoving forward. Get ready to make every celebration extraordinary! This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM), overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly. Key Skills/Responsibilities Event Success Superstar: Knock meeting planner goals and food & beverage sales out of the park while keeping guests smiling. Community Connector: Build relationships with clients, take them on property adventures, and participate in local happeningsmaking every event unforgettable. Trendsetting Pro: Stay ahead by tracking market trends and always bringing fresh ideas to the table. Ultimate Team Player: Spread positive vibes with guests and colleagues, attend key meetings, and keep the hotel running smoothly. Banquet Mastermind: Deliver flawless event orders on time, communicate changes fast, and help every celebration shine. Go-To Extra: Tackle any other fun challenge tossed your way by management! Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; prior convention/event and catering sales experience preferred. Creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/events, plus professional selling skills (opening, probing, supporting, closing) desired. Valid driver's license for the applicable state required. Strong verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, convince, and influence clients and colleagues. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently and present effectively.
