*Position Summary:* HCL has an immediate opening for a *Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager *to join our team in our Centennial office! For over 25 years, HCL has provided high-quality engineering services for the Colorado Front Range and Western Slope. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and passionate self-starter to work directly with local municipalities, development, and transportation projects. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative interdisciplinary office environment as an experienced engineer.
*Key Responsibilities:*
The Senior Project Manager:
* Oversees and takes professional responsibility for work on Civil Engineering Projects and signs/seals projects as the Engineer of Record.
* Oversees financial details and performance of their assigned projects or tasks, including weekly budget updates and monthly invoice reviews.
* Oversees and directs the work of the professional staff assigned to the project.
· Provides training, mentoring, and project guidance for staff members.
· Multi-tasks and works on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Prepares Civil Engineering proposals, including detailed scope descriptions and fee estimates.
* Review the work designers and project engineers perform in Civil3D and other software platforms.
* Establishes project goals and oversees the QA/QC process.
* Conducts constructability reviews or assists in the design/planning/review of other Civil Engineering projects assigned to others.
* Prepares improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for commercial, residential, and multifamily developments and public works projects.
* Coordinates technical and administrative activities for a project with other disciplines and departments within HCL.
· Demonstrates effective leadership skills in mentoring, training, coaching, and developing team members.
· Participates in team resource scheduling, workload projections, and interdepartmental coordination.
*Required Experience, Education, and Skills:*
* Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado
* Bachelor of Engineering from a four-year, board-approved engineering curriculum
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Civil Engineering field or a minimum of 10 or more years of experience in Civil Engineering.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
* Proficiency in Bluebeam is essential.
* Understands and uses engineering principles, codes, and standards in civil design, including site layout, grading, erosion control, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer, and roadway.
* Understands calculations and programs used in the design of civil systems and reports, including drainage, water, sanitary sewer, and roadway systems.
* Possesses working knowledge of disciplines involved in the development process and integrates and coordinates civil engineering work into required approvals.
* Demonstrates technical writing skills needed for civil reports and letters.
* Understands client goals and uses effective communication and leadership skills to manage project schedules and budgets.
* Communicates in a timely and effective manner within the team and with clients, various agencies, and other disciplines working on the project.
· Demonstrates effective leadership skills in directing and completing assigned work; can coordinate efforts on multiple projects.
* Works independently with little supervision; exercises independent judgment in the completion of work, including directing engineering activities to complete the project.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
