About
*Please note this is a full time office based role and no hybrid/remote option is available.*
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to clients, resolving basic technical issues, and escalating complex problems to higher-level support teams when necessary.
Hours: Monday – Friday 0800 - 1700
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, or in person.
* Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues related to hardware, software, networking, and peripherals.
* Document all support incidents, including symptoms, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, in the ticketing system.
* Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate support teams, following established procedures and protocols.
* Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
* Install and upgrade software applications, perform system updates, and ensure compliance with security protocols.
* Educate end-users on basic IT procedures, best practices, and self-service resources to empower them to resolve simple issues independently.
* Collaborate with colleagues and other support teams to share knowledge, solve problems, and improve overall service delivery.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Essential skills and experience:
* Proven experience in an IT technician or support role
* Driving Licence
* Strong communication skills
* Technical proficiency
* Customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
Please note applicants must have the RTW in the UK and stay within daily commute distance to Inverurie prior to applying.
