*Qualifications*
· *Recommends appropriate communication devices or aids as needed.*
· *Consults with the referring physician (or another authorized licensed independent practitioner).*
· *Holds a master’s or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) and meets at least one of the following criteria:*
· *Is licensed as a speech-language pathologist in the state where the services are provided, or*
· *Has completed at least 9 months of supervised full-time SLP practice following the completion of a master’s or doctoral degree in SLP or a related field, and*
· *Has successfully passed an approved national examination in SLP.*
· *Has at least one year of clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology.*
· *Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational abilities.*
· *Maintains current CPR certification.*
· *Must possess a valid driver's license, own an insured vehicle that meets state or organizational requirements, and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.*

*Essential Job Functions:*
* *Conducts evaluations to assess the patient’s speech and language function, including evaluating the home environment (when applicable), and identifies any equipment needs related to speech/language function.*
* *Identifies functional speech issues and develops a plan of care to improve the patient’s function.*
* *Administers speech therapy programs using specialized therapeutic techniques and/or equipment.*
* *Collaborates with other organizational personnel to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care, contributing to the overall plan of care.*
* *Participates in case conferences, in-service training, and other meetings as necessary to ensure coordinated care.*
* *Prepares and submits documentation in accordance with organizational policies.*
* *Maintains clinical competency in speech-language pathology practices and theory.*
* *Assesses patient and family/caregiver needs for additional services and makes appropriate referrals.*
* *Instructs the patient, family, caregivers, and other healthcare personnel on the patient’s treatment plan.*
* *May supervise home health aides in tasks related to the speech-language therapy plan of care.*
* *Performs other duties as required to support the delivery of speech-language services.*
* *Must have completed or be in the process of completing 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum.*
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour
