We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Sacramento, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and organized flow of inventory, supporting all aspects of our distribution operations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of forklift safety procedures, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on forklift equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Ensure accurate placement of goods within the warehouse racking system.
- Assist with inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors and management.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a forklift, with valid certification (e.g., OSHA certification).
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics setting.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of forklift safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
