Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and move materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Sort and organize materials according to established procedures and location assignments.
- Transport materials to and from designated work areas or storage zones.
- Operate manual and powered equipment safely, adhering to all operational guidelines.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Strictly follow all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure the correct use of required PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with common material handling equipment.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with others.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to operational needs.
- Commitment to safety standards and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and supply chain functions is beneficial.
