As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for retrieving items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Accuracy, speed, and a commitment to quality are essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse inventory using order sheets or scanning devices.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Verify picked items against order details to maintain accuracy.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contributing to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stocktaking activities as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
- Contribute to efficient logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with scanning devices and order management systems is a plus.
- Willingness to follow all safety protocols and wear necessary PPE.
- Understanding of logistics principles is beneficial.
