About
Our growing facility in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a skilled Material Handler to manage the flow of materials within our warehouse. This role is vital for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring materials are available for production and shipping. If you have experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment, and a dedication to safety, we want to hear from you. This is a key position within our logistics and supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and stage materials.
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels and locations.
- Identify and report damaged materials or equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring materials are readily accessible.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory control principles.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Commitment to wearing all required PPE and following safety guidelines in a demanding logistics setting.
