Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate for our busy Boston, Massachusetts distribution center. This role is critical to managing the flow of goods into and out of our facility, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all shipments. You will be responsible for receiving incoming goods, verifying shipments against purchase orders, preparing outgoing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records. A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. This position is key to our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies.
  • Accurately document all incoming and outgoing shipments in the warehouse management system.
  • Pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders for shipment.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and shipping area.
  • Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery of goods.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock control.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Support overall logistics and supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a similar warehouse role is required.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety standards and the use of PPE is mandatory.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
