About
Join our vibrant New York City warehouse as a Picker/Packer! This critical role supports our extensive logistics operations by ensuring that orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, meticulously picking them, and then carefully packing them to ensure they arrive at their destination in perfect condition. We are seeking motivated individuals who are precise, efficient, and prioritize safety in all their actions. This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is paramount for maintaining our high service standards in the competitive NYC market.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Receive and organize incoming stock, verifying quantities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to strict safety standards.
- Always use the required PPE and follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents.
- Participate in inventory management, including cycle counting.
- Support the broader logistics team as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following all guidelines.
