In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing orders are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched to our customers on time and in excellent condition. You will play a key part in the supply chain, directly impacting customer satisfaction. Your daily tasks will involve verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging materials, ensuring items are securely packed, and preparing shipments for carrier pickup. This position requires a keen eye for detail to prevent shipping errors and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse associates and supervisors to meet daily shipping targets. Understanding shipping regulations and carrier requirements is important. A strong emphasis is placed on safety within the warehouse environment; you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping labels and documentation.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Pack items securely and neatly, minimizing damage and space utilization.
- Generate shipping labels and complete necessary documentation for various carriers.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Conduct quality checks on packed orders before dispatch.
- Communicate any shipping-related issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the use of required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse shipping or packing role is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics and shipping processes.
- Ability to identify and use appropriate packing materials.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Team player with effective communication abilities.
