About
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics department in Huntsville, Alabama. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the accurate processing and preparation of all outgoing shipments, ensuring that products are correctly documented, packaged, and dispatched to their destinations. Your duties will include verifying shipping information, preparing bills of lading and shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and logistics is essential. Safety is paramount in our operations; you will be required to adhere to all Safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and to ensure that all outgoing goods are packaged in a manner that prevents damage during transit. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be working closely with warehouse staff and management to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify shipping addresses, product details, and quantities.
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Generate and apply shipping labels.
- Coordinate pick-ups with shipping carriers.
- Maintain organized and accurate shipping records.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and use required PPE.
- Assist with other logistics and warehouse tasks as needed.
