As a Picker/Packer, you will play a vital role in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. You'll be responsible for picking items from warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring that orders are packed correctly and securely. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves using an order sheet or scanning device.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against customer orders before packing.
- Apply shipping labels and other necessary documentation to packages.
- Assist in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the picking and packing stations.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines, including the mandatory use of required PPE.
- Collaborate with other warehouse associates to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and product labels.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capacity for lifting items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong commitment to safety and following instructions.
- Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and logistics processes is beneficial.
