Job Summary:
Our bustling logistics warehouse in Boston, Massachusetts, is seeking a dependable Material Handler to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes receiving and unloading shipments, transporting goods using pallet jacks and hand trucks, and preparing items for outbound distribution. A strong focus on Safety, including the correct use of PPE, is essential to this position. We are looking for individuals who are physically fit, capable of frequent Lifting, and possess a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and stage incoming materials and products.
  • Load outbound shipments accurately and efficiently.
  • Transport materials using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other manual equipment.
  • Sort and organize inventory within the warehouse according to established procedures.
  • Perform daily inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
  • Adhere to all Safety regulations and ensure the proper use of PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, contributing to a safe environment.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
  • Support the overall flow of logistics operations within the facility.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform manual tasks including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
  • Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions accurately.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts as business needs dictate.
  • Basic understanding of logistics principles is beneficial.
