About
We are hiring a Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be instrumental in the safe and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. Responsibilities include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials. Accuracy and safety are paramount. You will work closely with the shipping and receiving departments to ensure timely processing of inventory. The ideal candidate will have experience operating material handling equipment and a strong commitment to following safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE. This position involves physical labor, including frequent lifting, and requires a strong work ethic. Join us and contribute to our efficient supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move inventory from receiving to storage and from storage to staging areas.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipment details for accuracy.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated areas according to WMS guidelines.
- Perform daily safety checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, emphasizing the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and safety standards.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
