Advance your career in logistics as a Forklift Operator in Baltimore, Maryland. We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods within our warehouse, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. This position requires a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail is critical to maintain accurate inventory and prevent damage to goods or equipment. You will be responsible for performing pre-operation inspections of equipment and adhering to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE. This role involves moderate lifting, up to 30 lbs, in addition to operating machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload products from trucks, shelves, and other locations.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse according to WMS instructions.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including mandatory PPE usage and safe operating procedures.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations.
Requirements:
Valid forklift operator certification is required. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Must be reliable and punctual. Commitment to workplace safety, including the diligent use of PPE, is non-negotiable.
