Baltimore, Maryland's leading logistics company is searching for experienced Forklift Operators. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within our warehouse. Your precision and adherence to safety standards are crucial for maintaining smooth operations and preventing accidents. You will perform routine equipment checks, manage inventory placement, and ensure that all movements are logged accurately. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse workflows and a commitment to safety above all else. Mandatory use of PPE is strictly enforced.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Load and unload goods from trucks, racks, and other locations.
- Stack and stage products in designated areas accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free from hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Follow all instructions and guidelines related to logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and material handling best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
