The Role
Our Mark Anthony Wine & Spirits & Bacchus Frechette Divisions are looking for a Field Sales Associate to their team who will oversee the Okanagan Valley region on a 12-Month Contract. The Field Sales Associate is responsible for increasing sales through volume and distribution gains in the assigned territory - Okanagan Valley and it's surrounding area. The Field Sales Associate will be expected to produce results that meet and exceed distribution, merchandising, and sales objectives across all aspects of the Mark Anthony Wine & Spirits and Bacchus Frechette portfolios.
Sales
- Pre-plan and execute sales calls to new and existing customers on master route.
Present fact-based sales presentations to secure new product distribution and to increase sales of existing products and delivery your growth target by product segment
Secure discretionary displays and points of interruption that meet or exceed the execution of the competitive set
Execute shelf set standards, and ensure space to sales meets or exceeds the competitive set
Conduct staff training and samplings
Conduct consumer samplings, with a focus on brand education and functional benefits versus the competitive set
- Drive growth for Multiple division by increasing market share and elevating our presence in BCLS, LRS, and licensee accounts.
- Build strong, value-based relationships with customers and suppliers through trust and consultative selling.
- Maintain a strategic sales call cycle to maximize territory coverage and productivity.
- Use industry insights and data to craft compelling, ROI-driven sales pitches.
- Stay ahead of trends with deep knowledge of our products, competitors, and local market dynamics.
- Provide timely insights and feedback to help guide sales strategy and supplier alignment.
Merchandising
- Execute with excellence across all channels—ensuring optimal distribution, product placement, promotions, and merchandising standards
- Stock, face, and maintain company merchandise at accounts
- Take opportunities to creatively and effectively showcase company brands at account locations
- Host special tasting and promotional events as required
Budget Management
- Control operating and A&P expenses and manage budget and expenses appropriately
- Deliver and exceed on annual budget for assigned territory in terms of revenue and distribution
Administration
- Monitor and track marketing programs
- Represent our brands at trade events, supplier visits, marketing activations, and consumer experiences.
- Participate in trade and marketing events, including evenings and weekends when required.
- Review and prepare reports/sales materials
- Maintain 100% accuracy in CRM, ensuring all activity, objectives, and distribution metrics are recorded.
What You Will Bring
Minimum 1 year of progressive experience in total, in sales, preferably in beer/wine/spirits industry or CPG industry
Completed Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce or related from a recognized institution
WSET Certification considered an asset
Effective leadership and strategic influencing skills
Demonstrated ability to work across functions, business units and geographies – a strong background in a matrix organization is beneficial
Effective business systems thinker and a good understanding of business process knowledge
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others in a diverse environment
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time
Strong stakeholder management focus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient with personal computers and business applications
Ability to attend evening and weekends events
Access to a car and a valid driver's license

The typical hiring range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually complemented with a car allowance; the base pay is determined by market location and job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
