Responsibilities: We have multiple opportunities available on our kitchen crew, responsibilities include:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to kitchen procedures and brand standards, ensuring consistent quality in taste, presentation, and portioning.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all health and sanitation guidelines set by B.C. and Old Yale Brewing.
- Receive, organize, and store food properly, including stocking and maintaining adequate levels of food on the line throughout service.
- Follow closing procedures to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next shift.
- Conduct prep work and portion ingredients ahead of time to keep service running smoothly.
- Roll up your sleeves and do what's necessary to get the job done and support the team, complete other duties as required within the same scope and level.
- Provide direction to the kitchen crew, ensuring execution of all duties are done to the highest quality.
- Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand.
- Monitor inventory levels and perform weekly inventory assessments.
- Work with the Head Chef, General Manager and Hospitality Manager to price and change menu items when needed.
- Assist with the implementation and management of kitchen and restaurant policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience and knowledge of kitchen operations.
- Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Be high energy and performance-driven with a strong desire for continuous improvement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including superior interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, dependable, and dedicated.
- Valid Food Safe certification is preferred.
