What you'll be doing
● Work with designers/ salespeople and project coordinator to manage workflow through shop to meet deadlines, deliveries, and service work that projects may require.
● Work alongside production engineer staff; overseeing plans before they go down to manufacturing.
● Run morning meetings with the CEI team on the shop floor.
● Work alongside manufacturing staff when needed, building quality custom cabinetry and other wood related items from plans.
● Overseeing Asana, continue to improve communication from engineering (CV), to manufacturing, to installation.
● Train new employees
● Train and implement all Health and Safety procedures and SOPs
● Receiving supplies and Keeping track of Inventory
● Open and Close building, including waste bins in the parking lot
What you'll be overseeing and supporting
● Prepare wood parts for spray finishing
● Inspect, fille, and sand wood parts for cabinets
● Inspect cabinetry and parts for quality control
● Prepare melamine parts for assembly
● Manufacture cabinet parts
● Automatic edge bander set up and operation
● Automatic CNC setup and operation
● Utilize hand tools and drills for assembly
● Assist with lifting cabinets & panels
● Deliver finished product to customers and/or Pick Up Supplies
● Assist with installation of cabinets and cabinet parts
● Clean and maintain work areas, including machinery and tools, to ensure a safe working environment
What we're looking for
● Experience in cabinet making
● Passion for working in a collaborative setting
● Strong attention to detail; for you, "good enough" is never good enough
● Practical skills for using hand and machine tools
● Ability to understand, draft, or adapt designs and technical drawings
● Ability to work out quantities and measurements
● Valid G-class driver's license
● The initiative to work independently in a workplace free of micromanaging
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
