About the Role

The Senior Officer, Programmatic Giving plays a critical role in growing the Foundation's annual revenue and donor engagement by leading the design, execution, and analysis of direct marketing and grateful patient programs. Working closely with the Director, Annual Giving and cross-functional partners, this role applies data-driven insights and audience segmentation to strengthen donor retention, upgrade giving, and deliver a best-in-class donor experience.

This position combines strategic oversight of key fundraising programs with hands-on project management, vendor coordination, and analytics to achieve measurable growth and deepen community connection with CHEO, the CHEO Research Institute, and Roger Neilson Children's Hospice.

You are comfortable leading campaigns end-to-end, building strong relationships with vendors and colleagues, and using results to drive continuous improvement. You bring curiosity, initiative, and a deep commitment to advancing the mission of CHEO and its partners through philanthropy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of integrated fundraising campaigns across direct mail, email, and digital channels
  • Develop annual program plans and budgets in collaboration with the Director, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring ROI targets are met
  • In collaboration with the Director, execute strategies for direct marketing along, liaising with external vendor to deliver compelling mail, email, and digital outreach strategies
  • In collaboration with integral internal departments at the Foundation, project manage various direct marketing campaigns and gratitude reports, analyzing and seeking evidence-informed pathways to drive for growth
  • Evolve and manage CHEO Foundation's Bear Hug (grateful patient/family) program. Use creativity and expert internal relations to help market this program to the CHEO community
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics, donor behaviour, and trends; report outcomes and recommend evidence-informed improvements
  • Respond to donor inquiries and help maintain proper gift coding for donations by either coming directly to CHEO or via third-party donation platforms
  • Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing philanthropy culture rooted in accountability and learning

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in fundraising, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in direct marketing, fundraising, and donor relations experience
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using fundraising CRM systems (Raiser's Edge preferred) and expert skills in Microsoft Office 365
  • High degree of professionalism, maturity and sensitivity
  • Ability to work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships across teams
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction/supervision
  • Experience in a healthcare organization is considered an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$82,000.00 per year
