About
Join our dynamic logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate! This multifaceted role is vital to our warehouse operations, encompassing both the arrival and dispatch of goods. You will be responsible for managing incoming shipments, ensuring accurate inventory counts, and preparing outgoing orders for timely delivery. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will play a key role in our supply chain, ensuring seamless flow of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and enter data into the inventory system.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock checks.
- Load outbound shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper securing and documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Collaborate with logistics and sales teams to resolve any shipping or receiving discrepancies.
- Assist with shipping and receiving paperwork and record-keeping.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklift certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Good understanding of logistics principles and warehouse flow.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
