We are seeking a skilled and reliable Material Handler to join our operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is crucial for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse and distribution center. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems, to transport, store, and organize raw materials and finished goods. Ensuring the safe and accurate handling of all items is paramount. Our company prioritizes a strong Safety culture, providing extensive training and requiring the use of appropriate PPE at all times. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting and maneuvering of heavy loads. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods to designated areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in proper storage locations.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Ensure all equipment is operated in accordance with manufacturer and company guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse Logistics operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain one.
- Proven experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions.
- Capability of Lifting and moving items weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE .
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems is a plus.
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment within our Logistics facility.
