About
Join our logistics team as a Material Handler in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma! We are seeking individuals with strong physical capabilities and a keen understanding of warehouse operations to support our distribution efforts. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading shipments, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and transporting goods to their designated locations. Your role is crucial in maintaining the flow of products within our logistics network. We require candidates who are detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to upholding the highest safety standards. You will ensure that all materials are handled correctly to prevent damage and maintain inventory accuracy. Experience with various types of warehouse equipment is a significant advantage. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is non-negotiable. This position involves considerable physical exertion, including frequent lifting of heavy items, often exceeding 50 lbs. Become an essential part of our logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other relevant machinery safely.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, or shipping areas.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
- Perform regular duties involving frequent heavy lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Physical strength and stamina to perform frequent lifting of heavy loads (over 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding logistics environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
