About
We are hiring a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our facility in Tampa, Florida. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and verifying shipment details. Your ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy under pressure will be key to your success in this fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs forms.
- Verify accuracy of outgoing shipments against customer orders and shipping manifests.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-up and delivery schedules.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
- Ensure packages are properly labeled and ready for dispatch.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with receiving duties as needed.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and common office applications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
