Job Summary:
Join our growing logistics team in Des Moines, Iowa, as a Picker/Packer! This role is fundamental to our order fulfillment process, ensuring our customers receive their products accurately and on time. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse stock to fulfill customer orders and then carefully packaging these items for shipment. You will work closely with inventory management systems, utilizing scanning technology to ensure precision. This position requires a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. We expect all employees to follow strict safety guidelines and utilize provided PPE at all times.
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using pick lists and RF scanners.
  • Verify product information and quantities for accuracy.
  • Package picked items securely and efficiently for shipment, selecting appropriate materials.
  • Label packages correctly for shipping.
  • Conduct quality checks on items before packing and shipping.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
  • Meet or exceed daily productivity targets.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in order picking or packing is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30-50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Familiarity with warehouse scanners and inventory systems is a plus.
  • Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
