*Job Summary*
We are seeking a highly skilled *Senior AWS Cloud Solutions Architect* to join our consulting team. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical strategist for our enterprise and federal clients, guiding them through the full lifecycle of cloud adoption. You will not only design robust, secure, and cost-effective architectures but also remain "hands-on" to ensure successful implementation. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who can translate high-level business goals into technical blueprints while adhering to AWS best practices and federal compliance standards.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Architectural Leadership:* Design and document enterprise-grade AWS architectures, including VPC networking, compute (EC2/Lambda), storage (S3/EBS), and database services (RDS/DynamoDB).
* *Cloud Modernization:* Lead large-scale "lift and shift" migrations as well as complex re-platforming projects to transform legacy systems into modern, microservices-based environments.
* *Security & Compliance:* Implement "Security by Design" principles, ensuring all solutions meet strict security findings remediation and adhere to frameworks like FedRAMP or NIST where applicable.
* *Collaboration & Evangelism:* Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for application teams, shepherding architectures through formal Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and evangelizing AWS best practices.
* *Cost Optimization:* Conduct architectural reviews to identify opportunities for cost reduction through serverless technologies, right-sizing, and automation.
* *SDLC Integration:* Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks to coordinate coding, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring a seamless CI/CD pipeline.
*Requirements & Qualifications*
* *Education:* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
* *Experience:* \* Minimum of *8+ years* of overall IT experience, with at least *5+ years* specifically focused on AWS Public Cloud.
* Proven track record of architecting and deploying production-ready Java or Python workloads in the cloud.
* Extensive experience with RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL repositories.
* *Technical Skills:* \* Expertise in AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
* Deep understanding of enterprise logging, monitoring (CloudWatch/Splunk), and networking.
* *Certifications:* \* *Required:* AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
* *Preferred:* AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified Security Specialty.
* *Soft Skills:* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
Pay: $3,700.00 - $4,300.00 per month
