RN Hospice at Providence Health and Services summary: The RN Hospice Nurse Clinician provides comprehensive care to terminally ill pediatric or adult patients by assessing, planning, and coordinating hospice care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. The role emphasizes enhancing patient quality of life, ensuring continuity of care, and supporting both patients and their families through end-of-life stages. The position requires a nursing degree, registration, and relevant experience, with preferred backgrounds in pediatric, hospice, or oncology nursing. The RN Nurse Clinician provides holistic care to terminally ill pediatric or adult patients and their families by assessing the needs of the patient, and then planning, coordinating, implementing, and as needed, revising the Plan of Care. The RN Nurse Clinician works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary hospice group (IDG)with the goals of anticipating changes in the patient's condition, avoiding crises, promoting patient and family choice, ensuring continuity of care, and enhancing the quality of life of dying patients. Shift, schedule and caseload of shifts and caseload may vary according to position assignment. Associate's Degree Or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Or equivalent educ/experience Washington Registered Nurse License Provider BLS - American Heart Association (Facility Managed) 1 year of Nursing experience; some pediatric nursing experience required for a position in the Pediatric Programs. ~ Prior Hospice, Homecare, Long Term Care, medical/surgical, and/or oncology experience.
