About
Become a vital part of our logistics team as a Shipping Clerk in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma! You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all outbound shipments. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to ensuring that every package leaves our facility correctly and safely. You will prepare shipping documents, verify shipping information, and coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups. Maintaining an organized shipping area and ensuring all shipments meet regulatory requirements are crucial. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) diligently. While not a heavy lifting role, some lifting and moving of packages will be necessary. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Verify shipping addresses and order details for accuracy.
- Schedule and coordinate freight pickups with various carriers.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping dock area.
- Ensure all packages comply with shipping regulations.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and data entry as needed.
- Resolve any shipping-related issues or discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and common office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and documentation.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform occasional lifting of packages up to 30 lbs.
