About
The *Radiologic Technologist* is responsible for performing high-quality radiology procedures in accordance with established exam protocols. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and safety while maintaining excellent patient care and communication.
The technologist demonstrates technical expertise in image acquisition, patient positioning, and radiation safety, and is responsible for maintaining equipment standards and supporting overall department efficiency.
*Essential Functions*
* Perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to established protocols and standards.
* Ensure timely and high-quality imaging results to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
* Demonstrate understanding of *radiation dose reference levels*, monitoring practices, and appropriate follow-up procedures when thresholds are exceeded.
* Use *AIDET communication principles* to identify patient needs, verify correct exams, and establish rapport.
* Explain procedures clearly and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout each exam.
* Prepare patients and equipment for imaging, adjust exposure factors, and position patients appropriately.
* Adhere to all *infection control, radiation safety, and sterile technique* requirements.
* Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of all radiologic equipment.
* Collaborate with engineers, physicists, and management to address equipment performance and maintenance issues.
* Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of imaging supplies.

*Qualifications*
*Education:* Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
*Experience:* New graduates accepted
*Certifications/Licenses:*
* *ARRT-R (Radiography)* – Required
* *BLS (Basic Life Support)* – Required (or within 30 days of hire)
