About
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized speech therapy services to pediatric patients, including early intervention and school-aged children. This role involves assessing communication disorders, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering effective therapy to improve speech, language, and swallowing functions. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives through patient-centered care and evidence-based practices.
*Duties*
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
* Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
* Provide direct speech therapy services to pediatric patients in clinical or school settings
* Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy techniques accordingly
* Collaborate with families, teachers, and healthcare professionals to support patient goals
* Document patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes accurately in medical records
* Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to improve communication skills at home and in daily life
* Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development
*Qualifications*
* Valid license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
* Candidates must be fully certified with ASHA (CCC-SLP)
* Prior experience working with pediatric populations preferred, especially in school or early intervention settings
* Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to communication disorders
* Experience with patient assessment and developing effective treatment plans
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage children and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
* Knowledge of early intervention strategies and familiarity with school-based programs is highly desirable
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate patience and empathy toward patients and families
* Bilingual Strongly Preferred (Spanish)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
