About
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Clerk to manage stock levels and ensure inventory accuracy for our logistics operations in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is vital for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and preventing stockouts or overstock situations. You will be responsible for tracking inventory, conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring that all inventory data is up-to-date and accurate. A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of inventory management systems are essential. We value a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to upholding Safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Receive, document, and process incoming inventory accurately.
- Monitor stock levels and report any potential shortages or overages.
- Ensure proper organization and placement of inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with the put-away and picking of inventory items.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to Safety and inventory control.
- Properly utilize any required PPE to ensure personal safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 30 pounds).
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is advantageous.
