About
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves for customer orders. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring that our clients receive the correct products in a timely manner. You will work closely with inventory management systems to track stock and report any discrepancies. Your primary focus will be on fulfilling orders accurately and safely, contributing to the overall efficiency of our distribution center. This position involves a significant amount of walking and standing, so a good level of physical stamina is required.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations using an order picking list or scanner.
- Verify item numbers and quantities against the order to ensure accuracy.
- Safely operate pallet jacks and other lifting equipment to transport items.
- Package items securely for shipment, adhering to company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Report any damages or discrepancies in inventory to the supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred but not required. Must be able to perform tasks involving frequent bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
