Our dynamic warehouse in Seattle, Washington, is looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage incoming inventory. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our logistics system. Your primary duties will include receiving deliveries, inspecting items for quality and damage, accurately entering data into our inventory system, and preparing goods for storage or distribution. A paramount focus on safety is required, necessitating strict adherence to all protocols and the consistent use of provided PPE . The position involves physical demands such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods for damage and accuracy.
- Accurately input receiving data into the warehouse management system.
- Organize and stage received products for efficient put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free receiving area.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and wear required PPE .
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams regarding receiving discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving position is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of logistics operations is beneficial.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE .
