We are hiring a motivated Material Handler for our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is instrumental in supporting our production and logistics operations by ensuring the efficient movement and management of materials. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility. This involves operating various material handling equipment, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Stack, shelve, and organize materials in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stocktaking.
- Prepare materials for shipment or further processing.
- Ensure all materials are handled according to Safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Operate and maintain material handling equipment in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from hazards.
- Comply with all requirements for wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Support logistics and production teams with material needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory principles.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to all Safety regulations.
- Ability to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) consistently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
