Our dynamic logistics hub in Columbus, Ohio, is looking for certified Forklift Operators to join our team! As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our warehouse, ensuring that products are stored, retrieved, and staged for shipment accurately. This role is critical to maintaining workflow and supporting our operational efficiency. You will operate various types of forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, load, and unload goods. Accurate identification and handling of materials, as well as maintaining proper inventory counts, will be key aspects of your role. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and all operators must adhere strictly to operating procedures, perform daily equipment inspections, and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move, stack, and retrieve inventory within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
- Ensure proper placement and organization of inventory.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory changes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
