Join our innovative team in Huntsville, Alabama, as an Inventory Control Specialist! We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for tracking stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory management within our logistics operations. Your precision is key to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points to ensure adequate supply.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Identify damaged or obsolete stock and process according to procedures.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and handling of inventory.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
