About
Seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator for our busy logistics facility in San Jose, California. This position is key to the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Safety is paramount, and you must demonstrate a thorough understanding of forklift operation, warehouse safety procedures, and the proper use of PPE. This role requires precision, speed, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. You will also assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and order fulfillment support.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and store materials securely at appropriate heights.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring no obstructions.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support picking and packing operations when forklift duties are complete.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
