We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our San Jose, California location. This role is essential to our warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of materials. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and arrange inventory within the facility. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong safety record, and extensive experience in a warehouse environment. You will conduct pre-operation inspections, maintain equipment, and ensure adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position demands precision, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a demanding logistics setting. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Stack and arrange products in designated areas, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of forklift equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to ensure efficient logistics flow.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving lifting and manual handling.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proven knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be able to wear required PPE and work in various warehouse conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
