We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for accurately documenting and managing all incoming inventory, ensuring that shipments match purchase orders, and reporting any discrepancies. This role is crucial to the efficiency of our warehouse operations and plays a vital part in maintaining accurate inventory levels. You will be expected to inspect incoming goods for damage or defects, prepare received items for storage, and operate basic warehouse equipment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are paramount. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within the logistics industry. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a warehouse environment and possess excellent organizational skills. Compliance with all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and notify supervisors of any issues.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Prepare received goods for storage or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks to move materials.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to wear PPE.
- Strong communication skills.
