Our expanding logistics company in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking a proficient Forklift Operator to join our dedicated team. This role is paramount to our warehouse operations, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials. You will operate forklifts to manage inbound and outbound shipments, move inventory within the facility, and support various warehouse tasks. A comprehensive understanding of forklift safety procedures, including pre-operation inspections and the correct use of PPE, is required. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and possess strong situational awareness. Your contribution will be vital in maintaining the smooth flow of goods and upholding our commitment to a secure and productive logistics environment. Forklift certification is a must. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance requirements.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Physical capacity to perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds.
