Are you a motivated individual seeking a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for dedicated Order Pickers to join our growing logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders, ensuring timely shipment and customer satisfaction. Your primary duties will involve navigating the warehouse to locate and retrieve specific items based on order sheets. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy. You will also be responsible for verifying order contents against documentation, ensuring all items are accounted for before they proceed to the packing station. This role is essential to our supply chain operations, directly impacting our ability to serve our customers effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders from warehouse shelves.
- Utilize handheld scanners and other equipment to track inventory.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage during the picking process.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking targets and ensure smooth workflow.
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus, but not required. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. A strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. Must be comfortable working in a warehouse setting that may involve varying temperatures.
